On Saturday, as we have for the last three years, Townsquare Media teamed up with veteran's group Vets Still Serving and local volunteers to clean up public green spaces in Augusta.  This year, the focus was on Augusta's Mill Park.

Over the course of five hours, a group of nearly two dozen vets and volunteers picked up litter on the park's fields and walkways, and hauled larger items off the hill that runs adjacent to Canal Street.  Some of the larger items collected, and hauled away by the City of Augusta, included tires, appliances, car parts, mattresses, couches, and TVs.

During a lunch break, volunteers were treated to a meal provided by Emery's Meats and Sam's Club.  Thanks to the Augusta Elks Lodge for providing water for the cleanup crew.
