One of the things I really admire about the Augusta Police Department is how much they love community outreach.  Interacting with people at local festivals, their coffee with a cop program, visiting local radio stations, and just going out of their way to meet people on the street.

The radio industry has given me the opportunity to live in nearly a dozen different towns around the east coast.  Believe me, not all police forces are as friendly as many of the departments in Central Maine.

Apparently, outreach also includes going sledding with local kids.

In a hilarious live video from the APD Facebook page, Officer Brad Chase participated in a sledding race with some kids at Augusta's Mill Park.

Yes, he wiped out...  But, he did it with style!
