WATCH: Dozens of Maine Ducks Halt Traffic, To Get To The Other Side
Why did the duck cross the road? I'll tell you.
It's a good day to be alive when high traffic comes to a halt simply for ducks. Dozens of ducks. As one of my top favorite movies, "Mighty Ducks" states, "Ducks Fly Together!"
Here's a fun fact I found interesting about these cuties, did you know ducksa are promiscuous? Well, seasonally promiscuous, according to ducks.org. They find a new mate as the leaves turn. Nonetheless, they stay together, in a group to deter dangerous animals. Large packs are better than one.
Yesterday there was a pack of ducks that literally stopped traffic! According to an article put out by, Fox News, 45 ducks needed to get to the other side of the street and all of the cars respected their journey from one side to the other.
Considering that this was a busy road, located on Route 111 in Biddeford, it is so nice to see that drivers paused their busy lives for a moment to be considerate of this large pack of 'seasonally promiscuous' ducks.
As you can see here, in the video posted to Facebook, by Karen Ramunno, the ducks were swiftly crossing which put the road at a standstill.
Along with Karen's post, the commented the following,
“Proof that there are more good people in this world than bad!” Ramunno wrote alongside the video. “Not one person in the 2 lines of traffic were beeping or impatient with these guys! Even the last 2 stragglers"
