It's been an amazing week here at Camp Out Hunger, and it's not over yet! I will be completely honest with you, the first couple days here was a little slower than they were last year, If you were listening to the Moose Morning Show earlier today, then you heard us talking about how just how behind we were. Well, apparently that was a call to action.

After we talked about being behind on food donations this morning, the traffic really started to pick up. So many people have been stopping by today with really big donations! KV Federal Credit Union came by with a massive gift, McDonald's in Winslow came through huge for us and Central Church brought their box truck over freighted with goods for the Salvation Army. And these are just a few of the big THANK YOUS we need to get out over the next couple of days.

Another amazing thing that happened today was getting some media coverage for this event. The Kennebec Journal was here with us for a good portion of the day, and Spencer from WABI TV 5 in Bangor came down to put together a package to run on the evening news tonight. And, the best part about all of it, is that it helps get the words out to people who may not know that this is going on. And that's the biggest thing  we need right now- people to spread the word! The more people you tell about this, the more people that will stop by and help, and that is invaluable.

Thank you all so much!
