Watch 'The Polar Express' in Augusta, Maine, in December

If you’re looking for a fun outing instead of staying cozy at home, grab the kids, invite a few friends, and enjoy a special evening at the Buker Community Center.

On Saturday, December 13, from 6:15 p.m. to 8 p.m., children can watch "The Polar Express" in their pajamas while sipping hot chocolate and munching on popcorn.

It’s a magical way to kick off the holiday season, and spots can be reserved through the Augusta Parks and Recreation website.

I love "The Polar Express." It's such a great movie, and I also love the music in it.

Maine Kids Can Call Santa

That’s not all for holiday fun. Want a phone call from Santa?

Back by popular demand, you and your family can enjoy a brief 5-minute chat with Santa Claus. Although each call is short due to Santa’s busy schedule, it’s the perfect opportunity for kids to tell Santa how good they’ve been and share their Christmas wish list.

From cozy movie nights to personal chats with Santa, Augusta Parks and Recreation makes it easy to create holiday memories that your family will cherish.
