The Augusta Police have taken to the department's Facebook page to warn the public about a wave of stolen vehicles throughout the city.

Police are also asking for the public's help in finding those responsible for the thefts, which have occurred city-wide.

Police said the thefts, in many cases, happened while the vehicle's were parked in the victims' driveways, and in many cases, the cars were unlocked with the keys inside. Police said that owners should take care to always lock their vehicles and make sure the keys are in a safe place.
