Sadly, over the last few years, we have been hearing more and more about the exploitation of children.  We've learned that it happens more often than we realize.  And, it happens in all parts of our country - not just in large cities.

Well, here is your chance to help!

The FBI is looking for the public's help in identifying a man they call John Doe 42.

According to WGME, the Federal Bureau Of Investigation believes the man may have "critical information pertaining to the identity of a child victim in an ongoing sexual exploitation investigation".

The unidentified man appears in a video was first obtained by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in August of 2019.  However, because of data imbedded in the video file, it is believed that the video was produced sometime in 2015.

John Doe 42 is a white male with gray hair. He was wearing a red and black plaid shirt and is heard speaking English in the video.  However, due to the age of the video, there is a chance that his appearance could be significantly different.  It is possible he could be living anywhere in the country.

Additionally, the FBI wants to warn the public that:

"The public is reminded no charges have been filed in this case and the pictured individual is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law."

The FBI needs your help to identify John Doe 42, who may have information about a child sexual exploitation...
