And The Winner of Central Maine Idol Season 4 is….
Season 4 of Central Maine Idol has wrapped up in an electric fashion!
This past Friday, the competition ended at The Quarry Tap Room in Hallowell with an intense battle among the top three contestants: Jennifer Shevlin-Fernandez, Jennifer Nittolo, and Bruce Wilson.
And the grand winner is.... Jennifer Shevlin-Fernandez
All three contestants were phenomenal, making it a super tough decision for the judges, especially between the two amazing female singers, in my opinion.
I am honored to pre-host this event each year. What's a pre-host? I coined the term. I pump up the crowd before the main host, Brad Wallace jumps on stage.
Being involved in the journey that is Central Maine Idol is nothing short of incredible.
We kicked off Season 4 with 20 talented singers and narrowed it down each week until we reached our final three.
The judges were Laura Hudson, Teresa Beaudoin, Nikki Hunt, and Darrick Banda. The auditions were held at Quirk Ford in Augusta, the top sponsors who donated the $10,000 cash prize to the winner.
Central Maine Idol has been in the spotlight, especially thanks to last year's winner, Julia Gagnon, who went on to compete on American Idol.
Julia even made a surprise appearance, served as a guest judge, and even sang for us.
The finale was phenomenal with each contestant singing there heart out. The Quarry Tap Room was buzzing with excitment and curiousity as to who would go home with the $10k. Once Jennifer was pronounced the winner, the fireworks popped off behind her and the crowd cheered.
Each season gets better, with bigger crowds and an ever-stronger community spirit!
Chris Vallee, owner of The Quarry Tap Room, makes sure that everyone involved feels like family. It's the perfect gathering for the entire city to enjoy the fun of music, together.
Congratulations to this years winner. To check out more about Central Maine Idol and how you can be involved next year and maybe even try-out, head on over to Facebook.
