Central Maine Memorial Day Parades
Memorial Day, the unofficial start of summer in Maine, is Monday, May 31st. For 2021 some communities will be bringing back the Memorial Day Parades.
I know Skowhegan will be having their parade starting at 10 am. I also know that they are still looking for people to take part, and if you would like to take part, they are still looking for entries; you can find out more here. The Skowhegan Memorial Day parade will start at the intersection of Dyer Street and Madison Avenue and turn left towards downtown Skowhegan, then onto Water Street ending at Skowhegan Veterans Park.
Where are there Memorial Day Parades this year in Maine?
There were a few that I found. Besides the parade in Skowhegan, Corinna has theirs bright and early on Memorial Day at 8 am. Ellsworth's parade starts at 10 am. Old Orchard Beach is having a parade at 1 pm.

Several Memorial Day Ceremonies are being held around the state, but even if you do not make it to any of those, just take a moment on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31st, to remember those members of the United States military who have died in the line of service to our country.
Masking rules are changing soon in Maine, so please pay attention to the guidelines and requests of the event organizers and enjoy.
