Everything You Need To Know About Wednesday’s Lunar Eclipse
According to WGME, Maine will see its first (partial) lunar eclipse on Wednesday morning.
A lunar eclipse is when the earth passes between the sun and moon. The earth completely blocks the sunlight and casts a shadow on the moon. The eclipse' shadow could give the moon a red or orange hue.
But, because the eclipse will start at 6:48 AM and the moon sets at 6:58 AM, it will not be all that impressive this time.
On the plus side, since Wednesday will be a sunny day, what you can see won't be blocked by clouds
As Wednesday marks the second full moon of January, it is considered a "Blue Moon", but it is NOT considered a "Super Moon"
