UPDATE (6:10 PM  May 28th)

According to the KJ, driver of the sedan (a silver Pontiac Grand Prix) was traveling West when he drifted into the Eastbound lane, striking the truck.  The Pontiac's driver, a man who appeared to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead on the scene.  The driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to Reddington-Fairview General Hospital with minor injuries.

According to the KJ, a fatality has been confirmed in an accident on Route 2 in Skowhegan.

The accident, a head-on collision between a sedan and a tractor-trailer, occurred at approximately 1:35 on Tuesday (May 28th) afternoon.  The accident happened in front of the Dudley Corner Schoolhouse  at the intersection of Route 2 and the Dudley Corner Road.

That section of Rt 2 was initially closed but, with a re-direct around the accident, has re-opened.
