I Finally Met The Spectacular Maine Woman Behind All The Phone Calls
I finally was able to meet someone very special to me. I started here at 92 Moose a year ago. We often get so many wonderful callers who chat with us, answer contest questions and more but there are always a few, "repeat callers".
There is one in particular that I always love chatting with when she calls. Her voice instantly makes Matt and I smile. Her positive energy is contagious and never-ending. She is enthusiast, funny, smart, and is confidently our number one fan. And I am her number one fan. This is all only getting to chat with her for minutes at a time on the phone in the studio. I have never met her, up until this point.
I don't know much about Miss Olivia, but what I do know, I adore. That's the thing with people, sometimes you don't need to know their entire story to fall in love with who they are. She spreads so much joy on a short 2 minute phone call and that is enough for me to know.
While we were working at Camp Out Hunger this year, we had thousands of listeners come to donate and talk to us and Olivia was one of them. On the very last day, I was able to meet this high energy, happy person that I had picture in my mind.
It was the last day and we were packing everything up and I heard a screech and scream and someone say, "Lizzy is right there". I turn and see a brown hair, fun-loving, young woman running towards me. She was wearing a beautiful shirt full of butterflies and she immediately embraced me, all while saying, "Lizzy, I can't believe it's you."
Who ever said a picture is worse a thousand words was right.
Olivia stayed and chatted with us for a while and made my life better that day. I was tired and hangry and she instantly made me feel good. Meeting you all has been the honor of my life. People like Olivia that witness me make me feel worthy of this job and I will never be able to thank you for that gift.
I will hopefully joining Olivia in this years, "polar plunge" on January 1st.
The joy that is spread between all of us is something that will stay within all of us. I am so proud to be a Mainer and will always want to talk with you, meet you, and share your stories. Thank you for the beautiful moments butterfly girl.
