On April 26th, 1986, a disaster so intense happened at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in the Ukraine, that it turned the once thriving city into a ghost town. 29 years later, it remains virtually uninhabited.

At approximately 1:23AM on that fateful Saturday morning, reactor #4 exploded after reaching 120 times its full power. The primary cause of the disaster, it's believed, was human error.
