More Snow On The Way – Central Maine Could See As Much As Two Feet!
After having a very mild start to the winter, things have really ramped up over the last few weeks. And, it looks like we are going to get hit again!
According to WGME, it looks like we could get close to two feet (14"-22") over the next two days!
In addition to the snow, we're expected to see strong winds with gusts of up to 50 MPH Sunday night into Monday. This will make driving hazardous. So, please plan accordingly.
According to the National Weather Service, we have a Winter Storm Watch in effect from 11 AM on Sunday through 7 PM on Monday. They also say:
Saturday Night
Snow likely, mainly before 9pm. Cloudy, with a low around 14. North wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Sunday
Snow likely, mainly after 3pm. Cloudy, with a high near 28. North wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Sunday Night
Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 22. Blustery, with an east wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 8 to 12 inches possible.
Monday
Snow, mainly before 4pm. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 27. Windy, with a north wind 30 to 35 mph, with gusts as high as 50 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible.
