Opening Day for The Portland Sea Dogs Is Right Around The Corner

As my hall pass, Tom Hanks says, in the cult classic, A League Of Their Own. He also pees for a very very long time. Why am I talking about this? Because I love baseball and opening day for the Portland Sea Dogs is right around the corner! The 7 days corner, to be exact.

According to WGME, April 8th will be the day that the doors open, the balls are thrown, and the mascot is getting his "slugger on." Did you know that Slugger, the Sea Dog's mascot is literally the hardest working mascot in all of the world? Well at least us Mainers think so because according to Milb, Slugger has engaged the crowd and created awe-inspiring excitement to more than 10 millions fans since he started at Hadlock Field in 1994.

The opening day of the Portland Sea Dogs makes me feel like it really is spring. The smell of hot dogs, the screaming and yelling by passionate fans, and the pants. Let's talk about the pants. Those baseball uniforms they wear, they are extremely interesting to look at to say the least.

According to WGME, 

"The ballpark is in great shape as it gets closer to Opening Day. Right now, there are no restrictions for fans entering the ballpark."

According to Milb the schedule for the beloved ball team is exciting, kicking off the 2022 season playing against New Hampshire at 6:00pm! Make sure you grab you're glove and you're excitement for Opening Day at Hadlock Field!
