Second Protest Against Maine’s Stay @ Home Order Happening Today
Just days after the first protest against Governor Janet Mills' stay at home order drew hundreds out to Maine's Capitol, another similar protest has already been planned for today.
According to WMTW, the people behind the group 'Reopen Maine', indicate that the Maine Governor has taken away people's freedoms, rights and jobs after shutting down much of Maine, even though the state wasn't impacted by COVID-19 the way other states have been.
Protesters are set to organize at the Statehouse at 1pm, followed by a vehicular protest as demonstrators will drive decorated cars around the Capitol and Blaine House honking horns and making noise.
At last check, Governor Mills has not indicated whether or not she will extend Maine's current stay at home order which is set to expire on Thursday.
