Skowhegan Chamber Offering 1/2 Price Gift Certificates

The Skowhegan Regional Chamber of Commerce is offering what amounts to half-priced gift certificates to local businesses.

Here's how it works:

-Call the chamber at 207.474.3621

-Tell them the name of the business and the denomination (up to $250) for the gift certificate

-Pay half of the denomination

-The chamber prints the gift certificates

-Go spend the gift certificates at your leisure (there's no hurry to spend them)

The chamber then, using a fund provided by donations, gives the business the full amount of the gift certificate.  The really great thing about this program is the fact that the businesses do not need to be Skowhegan Regional Chamber of Commerce members AND they get the money within a few days (whether you spend the gift certificates immediately or not).

The next round of gift certificates will be available on Thursday (May 21st) and are sponsored by The Hight Family of Dealerships, Bangor Savings Bank, Allied Realty.
