UPDATE: WABI reports that the standoff has ended with the suspect being taken into custody.

According to WABI TV 5, a standoff that began Sunday morning in Farmington is still underway as of Monday morning.

Officials attempted to make contact with a suspect at around 9:30 Sunday morning and were threatened with a gun. Since then both local and State Police agencies have responded to the scene.

Officials say that the incident is still 'active' and that drivers should avoid the area near Temple Road (Rt 43) as police still have parts of the roadway closed to thru traffic.
