Want ALL Your Windows Settings in a Single Folder? Introducing ‘God Mode’

When I couldn't activate my re-installed Windows 8 the other night, I called Microsoft tech support and spoke with a guy in India who was very easy to understand and very knowledgeable about my problem and corrected it by taking control of my computer for 5 minutes.

Before he was done, he created a new desktop folder called God Mode, which he said would give me control of every single setting on the machine...far more than "control panel." It sure did!

He also shared this, apparently little known, secret with me and now, I pass it on to you. Simple!

Create a new desktop folder. Next, copy this code (excluding quotation marks): "GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}"

Click "rename" on the folder and, for the name, paste the code. There ya go! Works on Windows 7 and 8.
