"You're killing me, Smalls."

Who doesn't remember the legendary movie "The Sandlot," where a handful of neighborhood kids got together and played ball at the town field?

Well, this one Mainer reminds me a lot of that film, and he has been playing ball for..ev..er.

This is what it was like for 83-year-old Bud Elwin who used to play pick-up games at the small playground down the road with a group of 12 friends from his neighborhood, according to News Center Maine.

Suffice it to say Bud has loved baseball for his entire life, and it's always been a huge part of it.

Bud is from Maine and found out about the Red Sox Fantasy Camp and to get there, he sold his uniform shirts to raise money to attend the camp, according to News Center Maine.

If you don't know what this is, according to the MLB website, they "let you live out the childhood dream of being a Major League Baseball player."

Bud attended his 4th Red Sox Fantasy Camp in Florida but doesn't just watch, he plays, News Center Maine reported. He had his Red Sox uniform ready and put it on one last time.

I'd say playing baseball at the age of 83 is a successful life.

The news station said he played two games a day for a week.

He still had one more game to play at the iconic Fenway park.

This 83-year-old Maine man was attending his very last day and on that day they were able to play against the ex-Red Sox, and he was proud to be the oldest player, according to News Center Maine.

The news station stated that Bud admitted that batting against former major league players was not too easy but was an incredible feeling.

As the camp wrapped up Bud was presented with the Coaches Award for spirit and leadership, according to News Center Maine.

Being able to live your life to the fullest and achieve your dreams is possible for anyone, at any age, and this Mainer is proof of that.
