With more people than ever staying at home and working, playing and living their life online, scammers around the globe are doubling down on their efforts to take advantage of the vulnerable.

According to ABC News, one of the biggest scams going around involves an app that scammer attempt to get people to download to 'track the spread of coronavirus'. Once users download the fake app, they are hit with a ransom message that indicated if they don't pay a certain amount of bitcoin to the hacker, then all of the information in their phone and all their photos will be released to the world.

It's not just internet and app scams, phone scams have also ramped up during this time. Phone scammers are preying on people's fears about COVID-19 fears including offering life insurance and a through the mail coronavirus test.
