Augusta’s Kennebec Chocolates Closing Permanently

In a Facebook post, Jennifer and Andy Dumond, operators of Kennebec Chocolates announced the business would be closing.

The well-known local chocolate shop has been in business since 1996 and located in Augusta since 2000.

Their last day will be May 15th.  Between now and then, they plan to offer curbside service for people who want to stock up on their favorite Kennebec Chocolates treats.  And, on Saturday, May 9th, they'll be offering chocolate covered strawberries one last time.

Their closing is a loss for Central Maine and we wish them them all the best in their future endeavors.
