I may put up a wreath and a few lights…maybe. I am not much of a decorate for the holidays type a girl. I love the look of it, but I hate to take it all down. But this is interesting if you like to switch it up and keep it fresh.

How about a Christmas tree made of succulents? Those are those cactus-like type plants. I guess this creative project has been around for a few years. (Ya…thank you, Pinterest) Even Home Depot has done a tutorial on how to do this for yourself. I mean…it does sound kind of fun. I guess you could do a tabletop one or feel like a real engineering project...make a full-size tree. But start with the tabletop one…from the look of it from HomeDepot.com.

You need some chicken wire, moss, and soil to stuff into it, a pot to put the base, floral pins (what?), a few other things, and many cute little succulents. The Home Depot tutorial suggested five different types of…to give it 'texture".

OK, the Home Depot tutorial is excellent and will walk you through the project. I am a lazy person; I am looking at this and thinking…fake succulents, chicken wire, and a glue gun—succulent tree for years to come.

If you do this send me photos and let me know how it went.
