Susie Whittington, social worker at the Homeless Veteran Program at Togus Veterans Hospital, is an organizer of the 'Homeless Veteran Stand Down', Saturday, Oct. 21.

She joined us on the Moose Morning Show to talk about this free, all-day, very important event.

Homeless veterans will be provided free transportation from sixteen pick-up points throughout the state, and can select from a diverse offering of available services including medical/dental screening, employment opportunities, housing services, needs assessment, counseling, legal advice, cold weather clothing, and many other types of services and support.
