Jack and Sonja Palmer of Hermon became national stars in 2012 for their hilarious outtakes in a commercial for Dysart's Restaurant in Hermon. Now, over 10 years later, they're back in a new promo for News Center Maine's Storm Center.

You may not recognize their names, but you surely recognize their faces. Jack and Sonia have been married for over 60 years and are a very happy couple, though you might not think that at the way they ribbed each other through two minutes of outtakes with over nine million views on YouTube. Neither one of them could say the line "baked in a buttery flavored crust."

The viral video was even parodied on an episode of Saturday Night Live in 2018, with Will Ferrell playing Jack and Kate McKinnon playing Sonja. It was hilarious.

Jack and Sonja are back at Dysart's, 11 years since recording the original commercial. This time though, they are in a promo for Storm Center, and Meteorologist Keith Carson was the one would couldn't get the right words out when trying to deliver the weather forecast. But outtakes at the end have Sonja unable to say Keith Carson's name.

This is great and so many levels. It's a throwback to one of the most famous commercials ever produced for a Maine business in the history of the state, and it's also great to see Jack and Sonja on our TVs again.

Over 60 years is a long time, and you can tell that despite their small bickering over their lines, these two still love each other.
