For weeks Mainers have been looking for some sort of relief from bad news. Coronavirus, shut down economy and now giant murder hornets. I mean, what could possibly be next? Well, if we're lucky, which doesn't seem to be our thing lately, a heat wave.

According to a Tweet from Robert LaRoche, who by his own admission does compulsive monitor modelling, indicated that based on the current forecast models, Maine could see a big heatwave lasting several days sometime around My 19th.

The current forecast model indicates highs around 70 in far northern Maine to as high as 84 in far southern Maine. Though we certainly hope these models will hold, Mainers know far too well that if you don't like the current weather, just wait a minute and it'll change.
