No Stopping Maine Musician, Rob Burnell, From Showing His Music To The World
Rob Burnell, a Maine artist is killing it with his music. He is an R&B singer and is attempting to have his music heard by the world.
After hearing him perform on Wednesday night at Mill Street Park for our Summer Concert Series, I have no doubt that will happen for him. Just listen to his vocal runs on this Chris Stapleton cover of, "Tennessee Whiskey", below.
His sultry, smooth, powerful voice will give you gives. His sound, to me, is reminiscent of Stevie Wonder, Usher and Sam Cooke. It's delicious and Rob only wants to make people feel power when they listen to him.
Rob covers R&B hits and most importantly creates his own music.
He has been performing and writing since he was 16-years-old. Graduating from Maranacook High School in Readfield, he has traveled the country performing. He is persistent and has hustled like the best of them, playing bars, venues, and street performances.
You may have recognized him if you took a trip to LA between 2013-2017 as he performed as one of the main attractions on the Santa Monica pier, Venice beach and Hollywood, CA.
I was lucky enough to also interview his Mom, Linda. She told me about visiting Rob in California and how strong his fight and persistence was on working hard every hour pursuing his dreams of making music for everyone.
It's not easy breaking into the music industry but there is absolutely zero chance that Rob Burnell will stop doing what he loves for all of you.
He is now back home in Maine, putting together a project that he hopes will take him to the next level. Get ready, because this guy is going places.
I asked Rob what we can expect from him next and he told me,
"Plan on seeing new music, music videos and other awesome content from me on the regular. Also building a following on TikTok and YouTube as well and putting a lot more work into the social media side so please go follow & share!"
Rob Burnell, Artist
During the concert at Mill Park for our Summer Concert Series, we were lucky enough to hear one of Rob's newest songs called, "Made For You". You can listen to this track below straight from YouTube.
His debut single, "Made For You," is old-school R&B meets new-school R&B. Many fans and listeners have told him it sounds similar to Usher in the 90s.
The single features one of central Maine's North Woods Outlaw's “COAL” on the track and has gained 10k followers on Facebook. They just headlined barnyard all terrain in Livermore with Bubba Sparxx and Afroman also playing in Virginia and headlining with “Trapt”, Headstrong in New York this summer.
Keep an eye on this one, because he's going to blow up.
