Selfless Maine Business Gives Back By Helping to Fight Addiction
I had the pleasure and great opportunity to talk to a non-profit and local Maine company that is touching lives and making a difference in the community, each and every day.
Get ready to feel loved when entering safe space, An Angel's Wing Inc. This is the 2nd store that is launching. They have one on Lisbon street in Lewiston and the newest store will be located at 550 Center St, Auburn. The launch of this store will be held on Wednesday, June 1st at 11:00am, according to their event page.
The event page states,
Please join us for our grand opening and ribbon cutting of An Angel's Wing, Second Chance boutique! We are opening our second location at the Auburn Mall located at 550 Center Street, Auburn Maine. The Lewiston/Auburn Chamber of Commerce has graciously offered to host our ribbon cutting ceremony. We will have snacks and waters for all. Our new location will feature gently used, name brand, clothing, shoes and purses. We look forward to serving the Lewiston/Auburn community.
An Angel's Wing Inc. takes in gently used donations of household, kitchen, furniture, clothing, or shoes. The proceeds go to those who are suffering from substance abuse and alcohol use.
These incredible woman entrepreneurs will do whatever it takes to help those in recovery from substance abuse and alcohol use. They go above and beyond to help by paying for treatment, recovery homes, and unfortunately funeral costs. They also try to obtain free or scholarship beds, which are few and far between, but they continue to fight for each person.
Their new store is more of a boutique. It has gently used name brand, higher end items which include, clothing shoes, purses, jewelry, at low prices.
They want to make you feel accepted and loved and also help the community that is suffering, all at the same time.
They hold a month, "Naranon" meeting which is families and loved ones who have been affected by substance and alcohol abuse each first Tuesday of the month.
An Angel's Wing Inc. is 501C3 non-profit and their mission is to ensure, each individual has every opportunity to live, learn and recover from substance use disorder.
But wait, there's more! They also have the most amazing baker and bakery in their Lewiston store. That means, whichever store you visit, you will be greeted with love, outfitted with affordable items and donating to people who need to heal.
The best part about this awe-inspiring venture is that they employ people in recovery and family or friends who have been affected.
In a nut shell we will do whatever it takes to assist people into recovery from substance and alcohol use.
