I'm sure by now you’ve heard Governor Paul LePage wants to eliminate the Maine income tax by 2020. Now he has moved forward with preliminary paperwork on a proposal to amend the state constitution to get it done.
After Stephen King's demand for an apology from Governor Paul LePage fell on deaf ears after LePage's comments last week, some Democrats are urging the best-selling author to run for the Blaine House in 2018.
Governor Paul LePage and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie aren't exactly two peas in a pod but they do have a lot in common. They're both Republican governors from primarily Democratic states and they both say things without sugarcoating them, which angers many people. Speaking of sugar, they could both stand to drop a few pounds....but couldn't we all :-)
When I went to efile my taxes last night, TurboTax told me that, because of something on the form, my Maine taxes had to be mailed. At 6pm, there's no post office in China open and I wasn't about to go to Augusta so I mailed them this morning....the 16h, not the 15th...
