I have to tell you how excited I am to share some news with you all on the new house my wife and I just bought in Lewiston. Hold on let me wipe the key board, my tears are falling into the space bar.

If you are renovating or flipping a house you understand the pressure of pricing, hiring, scheduling, and literally having to educate yourself on all that is construction. I want to punch myself in the face some days but most day I'm okay.

It's intense and I have tried my best to learn as much as I can, as fast as I can. Faking it has helped too. Just nod and smile, that will take you a long way. Then google whatever you were just told.

I was born in York, Pennsylvania and we lived in a cape-style home. I was very young but there was something that I vividly remember and hold very dear to my cold little heart, which is a bay window.

You may not think that a window is special because it's just a window, but it holds a very personal memory for me. Celine Dion would probably write a song about it, I'm just sayin'.

The bay window was a spot I would often find myself, sitting and dreaming with my sister. We would plan each others lives and the magic and imaginative places we would visit was unforgettable.

After buying this new home, I wanted to install a lot of different things, but the most important was my bay window.

I went to Home Depot in Auburn and they thankfully outsourced, Anderson Windows to custom build my window. The window was a perfect replica of the bay window that we had in York, PA.

Yesterday, it was installed and my mind was blown. I can now watch my child sit on that sill, look out the window at the birds and dream about what his life is going to be.

As parents, we want to give our kids all of the good things we experienced and much more.

Our hard work has paid off and I can't wait to share when my entire house is finished with you all.

But until now, I will sit on my "almost finished" bay window and dream about the future.
