U.S. Soda Sales Have Dropped For the Third Year in a Row
Do you drink soda? If your answer is no, you’re not alone. U.S. soda sales are down. In 2013 sales of carbonated beverages fell by about 3%. There were more modest declines in 2011 and 2012 as well.
Much of the loss in soda sales is due to diet sales dropping over worries about the artificial sweeteners.

I know I've cut down myself a bit due to cost. I'll buy soda if a 2-liter bottle is $1 or less. If 12 packs are four for $10, I'll pick some up, but otherwise it's just a treat. I'll drink powdered iced tea, juice, water or coffee instead.
