I Performed My Very First Wedding Ceremony in Maine
Last November I decided to become an ordained Minister. Why? Glad you asked, because it took 5 minutes and it was free. Most importantly, I also love, love. I am very good at talking to people in front of people and spreading juicy love all over the place.
So why not?
Was it a good idea? Yes. I think so. Because this weekend I married my first couple, Mr. & Mrs. Kenniel.
Marrying a couple is a huge responsibility. As you all know, we put our wedding days on quite a big scale. We expect that day to be "the best day ever." Their is a considerable amount of pressure when planning your wedding and traditionally, as a bride you yearn for that day to be unforgettable.
I wanted to give Hillary and KJ a day to remember. I had many conversations with Hillary and was aware of what she wanted.
I wrote the entire ceremony and wanted to make it romantic, funny, and personal.
Hillary and KJ met in such a unique and funny way and I wanted to make sure that was in the ceremony. Romance is in the air in Maine!
The wedding and reception was located at the American Legion in Auburn and I teamed up with DJ Sam Hook, who is a colleague of mine here at the station to spin the tunes all night.
Hillary and KJ's wedding went off without a hitch and I am very proud and honored to have married them.
