Cool Off at Lewiston, Maine’s Kennedy Park Pool, Opening Soon
Time to take a dip! And we're relieved this is happening, because the public pool in Lewiston has been delayed. The delay hasn't been too long, but we are all ready to splish-splash in Kennedy Park's public pool!
The pool was supposed to be opened on June 25, according to the Sun Journal. The delay occurred due to staff training. It will now be open on July 1!
According to the article, Nicole Welch is the recreational director in Lewiston, and she shared that the department needed a little extra time to wrap up staff training. Thankfully, everything is now in place for a fun and safe season.
The Kennedy Park pool is a summer hotspot. This is largely because of its prime location. The pool is surrounded by many apartment buildings overflowing with kiddos! So this park and pool provides the neighborhood with the perfect escape for cooling off and enjoying some outdoor fun.
As per the Sun Journal, the pool will allows swimmers from noon to 5:00 p.m. This is from Monday to Saturday, July 1 through August 17!
Best of all, it’s FREE for residents of the great city of Lewiston!
To make things run smoothly, please note that the city is requesting that you register online to help with signing waivers in order to swim. Safety comes first, and it also helps with keeping emergency contacts and swimmers up-to-date on the pool news!
