Lead Singer of Maine Band Blows Us Away With New Music
You may be into punk rock, hip hop, country, or even Riverdance but no matter what kind of music you listen to, I am betting that you will love what Toby McAllister, a local Mainer, is recently releasing and I have never gambled because I suck at cards.
I can tell you with all sincerity that I was able to get a sneak peek/listen to his music and I am blown away. It's so intense when you listen to something and it unknowingly crawls inside your ear holes and never wants to leave.
That is what Toby's music means to me, it's earhole music and I thank you for that.
Toby McAllister is the founding member of Sparks the Rescue and if I have to explain to you who they are, you should crawl out of that rock, I will move the rock for you and then divulge all info to you anyway.
Sparks The Rescue was a national band and was once signed to Fearless Records out of California. They toured for many years, including The Warped Tour and a European tour with All American Rejects! The guys are reuniting and Toby is releasing his own album! Sparks recently played a sold-out show at Aura and blew off the roof. Aura literally had to buy another roof, but that's rock n roll for you man.
Toby is originally from Poland Maine, he has brown hair, hazel eyes, and toured with world-famous bands like All American Rejects but he's taken so don't get any ideas, guys.
Toby has been playing music his entire life. He spent his 20’s touring in a van and now lives in his home state of Maine with his family. He gigs full-time all around New England and posts his monthly schedules right here to his page.
December of 2021 finds Toby not only reuniting with his brothers in Sparks but also releasing his first solo EP titled, “Daydreamin.” It was recorded over a scorching hot week in July of 2021 by Jonathan Wyman, who also produced and mixed the project.
The players also include Nathan Spencer (Sparks The Rescue) on drums, Andrew Martelle (The Mallett Brothers Band) on fiddle, Adam “Ditch” Kurtz (Joshua Ray Walker, Sarah Shook & the Disarmers) on pedal steel, Jake Van Paepeghem (Skösh) on bass and electric guitars, and Sam Lyons on mandolin.
These songs were written in the dead of winter during the pandemic by Toby while his newborn daughter napped. Awe. It's so nostalgic stories that will always hit you straight to the heart.
Toby and his music will continue to shine, he's got that spark inside of him that you can't blow out, it's like a trick candle. He's got a trick candle spark. Go get 'em, Toby!
