Mr. Sea’s Lobster Pound & Fry Shack is a Maine seafood restaurant known for its delicious lobster rolls and fried clams. It recently became the subject of attention following a Facebook post.

They turned an internet bullying incident into a genius marketing plan.

As the Facebook post states, after having to endure endless online negativity from two particular individuals, the owner posted on Facebook to address the issue.

In a very bold and brilliant way, it's explained that a couple of people consistently comment on any positive review about the restaurant in a negative way. This happens on a daily basis, with the online bullies saying things like "They rip you off" and "They are the worst restaurant ever."

This is obviously an attempt to bring the business down, or cause stress and turmoil.

Normally, when that happens without pause, it must feel like a personal attack. I am sure it was very difficult to deal with at first. Until now.

The wonderful owner decided to face the problem with buckets of sunshine and smarts.

The restaurant addressed the bully in a bold social media post, comically inviting customers to experience the "worst" seafood and share the experiences with the critics for a discount:

Stop by Mr. Sea's today so we can rip you off! While you're here grab a sucky lobster roll that doesn't compare to the frozen meat you've fallen in love with. Come check us out for the worst experience of your life!

This is such a creative response that not only diffused the negativity, but more importantly, attracted attention and customers!

We see you, Mr. Sea’s, and we love your resilience and clever marketing!  The bullies did not win. Instead, they helped this local Lewiston restaurant rise above!
