Nature is wild. I recently was sitting on my porch during a thunderstorm and got to witness the coolest strike of lightening right before my stunning green eyes. Ya'll, it's like magic.

This happened that same night in Norway in Maine and in a stunning display of nature's power, it struck a tree.

Yes, that happens. But this time, incredible photos captured the tree on fire. This comes from Norway Maine Fire Department.

The striking images below show the intensity of the fire as it literally engulfs this huge Maine tree which created a mesmerizing and alarming sight.

Say what? If a tree get's struck in the forest, will anyone hear it? I guess so.

The photos were taking and posted onto Norway Maine Fire Department.

This reminds me of the 1988 classic film with Dan Aykroyd called "The Great Outdoors" where the one character continuously got struck by lightening.

While the movie provided a ton of comedic relief, it is a relief that in the real incident, it was the tree that was struck by lightning and not a person.

Lightning strikes can have super severe consequences, and it is fortunate that no individuals were hurt during this event. The safety and well-being of everyone involved are of paramount importance.

Also fortunate that this didn't spread!
