Have You Noticed the Extra Splash of Color Around Lewiston, Maine?
I am a proud resident of Lewiston, Maine. Recently, I have noticed a little extra color in our town. As I was driving around near St. Mary's Hospital on Campus Avenue, something popped out at me.
As I was sitting in the passenger seat, I looked to my right and noticed something bright and awesome. I am not exactly sure what these are, but they look like electrical boxes. And this one was painted!
Cool, right? I snapped a picture and continued on my day.
Well, as I kept driving around town over the next few days, I noticed more and more painted electrical boxes. Who is doing this? Is it a school project? Is it a charity or community group? I need to know!
This box is located on Sabattus Street in front of Irving. It's so colorful and says, "Art, Music, Passion, Community, Energy, and Love." I mean, come on guys! This is pure beauty!
Next up, we've got the cutest dogs with a bird near Bates College!
This one looks like it should be on a piece of art that I would totally hang in my house!
And lastly, the coolest dragon I have ever seen!
The decorated boxes do not have a common theme. They are all uniquely different from one another. Have you seen them around town? If so, which one is your favorite?
Something about this tickles me, because I love to see our town being splashed with a beautiful fusion of fun art and colorful installations.
If you know who created these masterpieces, let us know!
